HP Sells Corvallis Visual Collaboration Unit

HP said Wednesday that it has sold its Visual Collaboration business--based in Corvallis, Oregon--to Polycom. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Polycom and HP, they are in a definitive agreement where Polycom will buy the assets of HP's Visual Collaboration business. The business unit develops videoconferencing equipment. Impact of the sale on the former HP unit in Corvallis have not been announced, and the two have not said how the sale will affect employment in the location.
