Telefonica Connects Into .NET

Microsoft Corp. and Telefonica S.A. said this morning that Telefonica is rolling out a new development product which incorporates Microsoft's .NET development tools. The two said that Telefonica's new BlueVia developer platform includes the Microsoft .NET framework, Microsoft Silverlight, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, among other features. the new development tool is aimed at helping developers create short message service (SMS), advertising, and other applications which run on Telefonica's telecom network. Financial details of the deal between the firm was not announced.
