NanoString Names VPs

Seattle-based NanoString Technologies, a developer of life sciences tools, said today that it has named two VPs. the firm said it has hired Chris Grimley as Vice President of Marketing and Katherine Webster as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Grimley joins the firm from Agilent Technologies. He has also served at Applied Biosystems and Genentech. Webster joins from Qiagen, and also had served at 454 Life Sciences, Molecular Staging, Celera Genomics, Chemdex and PE Applied Biosystems (now Life Technologies). NanoString is developing equipment for counting target molecules in biological samples. The firm is venture backed by Clarus Ventures, OVP Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson
