Tippr Gets $4.0M
Seattle-based Tippr, the developer of group buying software and technology headed by Martin Tobias, has raised $4.0M in a funding round. The funding came to light via a regulatory filing. No details on the funding have been announced by the company. Tippr had previously raised $5M in funding from RRE Ventures, when it was known as Kashless. Tippr develops white label software in the group buying area, and has also said it has a collection of patents covering the technology. The firm's technology is comparable to the technology powering group buying services such as Groupon and LivingSocial. More information »
