Tableau Claims Landmark Year

Seattle-based Tableau Software, a developer of business intelligence software, claimed today that it had a "landmark" year in 2010, with its sixth straight years of record growth for the company. Tableau said it added over 100 new employees at the firm, and had total annual revenues of just under $40M. The firm said it saw a 106 percent year-over-year growth in the fourth quarter of 2010. Tableau is headed by Christian Chabot. According to the company, it expects to double in size in the next year, adding another 150 employees. The firm's announcement of its financials is unusual for a privately held firm; the company is backed by venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates.
