Calypso Medical Names President and CEO

Seattle-based Calypso Medical Technologies, a developer of technology to track tumors, announced yesterday that it has named Edward Vertatschitsch as its President and CEO. Vertatschitsch has been at the firm since 2003, and was most recently interim CEO, as of July 2010. Prior to being named interim CEO, he was executive vice president of operations and R&D. Calypso is venture backed by Bay City Capital, Frazier Healthcare Ventures, Interwest Partners, and Skyline Ventures.
