Amazon Drops Web Services Pricing, Adds Support Plans
Seattle-based Amazon Web Services, the web services arm of Amazon.com, said today that it has lowered usage pricing on a number of the firm's plans, as well as expanded its menu of support options. The firm said it has lowered usage pricing on Premium Support offerings by 50%, and added two new support plans for users. Amazon said it has added a new low priced Bronze support plan, and a Platinum support plan with 15 minute response times and dedicated account managers as part of its support lineup for AWS. The firm said the addition of the plans is a part of an effort to support "customers of all sizes."
