F5 Targets Citrix Customers

Seattle-based F5 Networks announced today that it has added additional support for its customers running Citrix and other virtual desktop applications. According to the firm, its BIG-IP Access Policy Manager and BIG-IP Edge Gateway products now supports consolidation and centralized authentication of access to virtual desktop environments, including Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware. The firm said the support will help reduce the size, complexity, and cost of infrastructure needed to support local and remote users. The firm said using F5's products helps reduce the need for the installation of complex management products required for the Citrix and other environments.
