Maxtek Becomes Tektronix Component Solutions

Beaverton, Oregon-based Maxtek Components Corporation, a provider of analog and mixed signal ASIC design, IC packaging, and other services, said today that it has been renamed Tektronix Component Solutions. The firm said the name change comes to support its parent company, Tektronix, and to indicate to customers that they have increased access to technology developed by Tektronix. Maxtek Components has been a unit of Tektronix since 2000, and had originally spun out of Tektronix as a joint venture of that firm and Maxim in 1994. Maxtek was originally created in 1970 as Tektronix' Hybrid Components Organization.
