Open Angel Forum Gears Up In Seattle
Andy Sack, who heads up the TechStars incubation effort in Seattle, said today that the Open Angel Forum, a new angel investment group, is setting up a chapter in Seattle. The angel group, which was started by outspoken technology pundit Jason Calacanis, is holding its first Seattle chapter meeting on November 10th, right before TechStars Investor Day. The Open Angel Forum--which has chapters elsewhere in the nation--has close ties to TechStars. The group started as part of an effort by Calacanis to circumvent "pay-to-pitch" angel investment groups, which charge entrepreneurs to pitch to angel investors.
