Amazon Adds Bar Code Scanning

Seattle-based Amazon.com has updated its iPhone application, adding a new barcode scanning function to its free application. Amazon's latest update of Amazon Mobile includes a barcode scanner, which allows users to take a picture of a product's barcode, find products in its catalog, and then allow users to instantly purchase those products. Amazon has had barcode scanning capability in its Android app since last year.
