Amazon Releases Kindle Plugin For Adobe InDesign

Seattle-based Amazon.com said Friday that it has released a beta of a Kindle Plugin for Adobe InDesign, which allows publishers to directly convert Adobe InDesign files to its Kindle book format. According to Amazon, the plug-in is free, and is aimed at making it easier for publishers to make their titles available on its e-book reader. The firm said the software allows publishers to keep the same font styling information, alignment, images, and more to Kindle. Amazon said its plugin works Adobe InDesign version CS4, CS5 in Windows (XP, Vista, 7) and Mac (10.5 and 10.6).
