ShopIgniter Looks Towards Holidays
Portland-based ecommerce software firm ShopIgniter, the Madrona-backed startup which provides e-commerce stores for Facebook and other social networking sites, said today that it has launched an effort aimed at holiday shoppping for retailers and brands. The firm said it has created a "Facebook Store for the Holidays" program, which will help companies to put up their own Facebook store and social promotions just in time for the holidays. ShopIgniter said its e-commerce tools are available via a subscription, costing as low as a few hundred dollars a month. The firm is headed by Matt Compton, who was previously at Madrona before the firm funded ShopIgniter. The firm raised a Series A worth $3M back in March.
