Isilon Deploys At Transportation Firm

Seattle-based data storage provider Isilon reported today that it has deployed its products at YRC Worldwide, which it says is one of the world's largest transportation service providers. According to Isilon, YRC is using its products to consolidate its VMware-based servers and file-based user shares onto a single file system. Financial details and size of the win was not disclosed. Isilon said its system replaces a traditional, storage area network (SAN) system at YRC.
