Amazon.com Buys Amie Street

Seattle-based Amazon.com has reportedly acquired Amie Street, an online music service which allowed users to purchase songs, priced depending on their popularity. No financial details of the acquisition have been announced, and Amie Street's site now says that the site is "currently down for maintenance." Amie Street had received funding from Amazon.com in the past.
