SonoSite's Cramer Retires
Bothell-based ultrasound developer SonoSite said Thursday thta Kirby L. Cramer, the firm's Chairman of the board, has retired. The firm said that Cramer will be replaced on the board by Robert G. Hauser, M.D. Cramer has been involved in Sonosite since 1998, when the firm was spun out of parent firm ATL Ultrasound. SonoSite said that it would name him honorary Chairman Emeritus for the remainder of his term as director, which is expected to last until Sonosite's 2011 annual meeting of shareholders. In conjunction with Cramer's retirement, the firm said it is shifting its structure to seven independent members, down from its current nine board members, saing those changes will create a "more streamlined and cost effective structure."
