Whrrl Checks Into Vegas

Seattle-based Pelago, the maker of the Whrrl mobile social networking software, said today that it has launched an effort with major properties and brands in Las Vegas. According to the firm, the deal will give users an opportunity to win free food, drinks, and tickets from Las Vegas properties and brands, just for joining the Society Rewards program for the city and checking into locations. Pelago said that users have the opportunity to win tickets to Cirque du Soleil, drinks at The Mirage Hotel and Casino, appetizers at the Luxor, free drinks and more at restaurants run by PURE Management Group, drinks from Sierra Gold, and tickets to the Palms Pool evens run by N9NE Group. Pelago is backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Bezos Expeditions, T-Venture, Trilogy Equity Partners and Reliance Technology Ventures.
