Widevine Gets Four Wins

Seattle-based DRM technology provider Widevine said Thursday that it has added four new customers. According to Widevine, it has added LOVEFiLM, a subscription service which streams movies and TV over the Internet; HiSense Electric Co. Ltd, a Chinese TV manufacturer; Saffron Digital, a provider of video delivery to Apple and Android devices; and Sonic Solutions, a provider of digital media software. All four are using some part of Widevine's DRM technology as part of their products. Financial details of the win were not disclosed.
