Widevine Wins Spanish Firm

Seattle-based Widevine reported today that it has been selected by mgMEDIA, a digital content distribution technology firm based in Spain. Widevine said that mgMEDIA will use the firm for its adaptive streaming, virtual DVD controls and digital rights management. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. mgMEDIA provides software for distributing music, movies, and e-books to Internet connected consumer electronics devices. Widevine is a provider of digital rights management (DRM) software.
