Bing Dangles Dollars For Default Search Choice
Microsoft's Bing search engine is turning to classroom charity donations in an attempt to get people to set the site to their default choice on their browser. According to Microsoft today, it will give $3 to a classroom project of a users' choice, when they choose Bing as a default search provider. Bing said it has partnered with DonorsChoose.org to fund classroom projects when people switch over to Bing. The firm has been using DonorsChoose for a number of efforts this year, including a Teacher Appreciation program and a recent Earth Day contest.
