Uptake Medical Gets $17.5M
Seattle-based Uptake Medical, a developer of medical devices for treating emphysema, announced today that it has raised $17.5M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Maverick Capital, and also included prior investors GBS Venture Partners, Onset Ventures, WRF Capital, Arboretum Ventures and Affinity Capital. Uptake, which is headed by King Nelson, said it would use the funding for CE marketing its products for markets outside the US, and for its FDA approval efforts. More information »
