Redfin Agent Arrested As Part Of Russian Spy Investigation

Seattle-based Redfin reported this morning that one of its field agents, by the name of Tracey Foley, was one of the 11 people rounded up by the FBI in a Russian spy ring investigation. The arrests were part of an investigation of a "cold war" style ring of what the FBI says were 11 spies planted in the United States to gather sensitive information. Redfin said that it had validated Foley's social security number, her deal history and her real estate license, as well as run a criminal background check before hiring her as a contract field agent. Redfin--which said it had not communicated with Foley since her arrest--explained it disclosed the information due to the "grave" nature of the crime.
