Amazon Adds Video, Audio Clips To Kindle Apps
Seattle-based Amazon.com said last night that it has updated its Kindle for iPad, and Kindle for iPhone and iPod touch devices, adding embedded video and audio clips to its books. According to Amazon, the new functionality allows users of the applications to access audio and video clips embedded into their books. Titles to initially feature embedded video and audio include Rick Steves' London by Rick Steves, and Together We Cannot Fail by Terry Golway. In the case of the book from travel author Rick Steves, Amazon said the embedded audio allows readers to listen to Rick as he travels sites in London. Amazon said a number of other titles already have audio and video support included, as well.
