Grape Solar Eyes Ontario
Eugene, Oregon-based Grape Solar, a manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules for the solar power industry, is setting its sights on Ontario, Canada, saying that the power firm is paying out the highest amount per-kilowatt to consumers who install their own solar power systems. Grape Solar said it will sell 1 to 10kW solar panel kits to Canadian residents in Ontario, who want to take advantage of a guaranteed 25 year 80.2 cents per kWh feed-in-tariff program from the Ontario Power Authority. The average cost per kWh of retail power in the United States was 10.54 cents per kWh in January of 2010.
