SpectraWatt Eyes $41.4M Funding Round
Hillsboro, Oregon-based SpectraWatt, the solar manufacturing firm spun out of Intel, is in the midst of raising $41.4M in funding, according to a regulatory filing by the firm earlier this month. The filing indicates the company has so far raised $12.0M in the round. Intel spun off SpectraWatt in June of 2008, and had previously scored funding from Intel Capital, Cogentrix Energy, PCG Clean Energy and Technology Fund, and Solon AG. The firm manufactures photovoltaic cells for the solar power industry. Details on the ongoing funding round have not been disclosed. More information »
