Smarsh Ties Into Social Networking Tools

Portland-based Smarsh, a provider of email archiving and compliance software, said today that it has tied with Socialware, a developer of tools to monitor and manage social networking activity by employees. According to Smarsh, it will use Socialware's policy enforcement, capture, moderation, and analytics tools for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social networking sites. Socialware's tools are used to ensure that financial services firms comply with SEC and FINRA regulations. Financial details bethind the partnership were not disclosed.
