Amazon.com Sales Jump In Q1
Seattle-based Amazon.com reported its first quarter results Thursday afternoon, saying that its first quarter sales were up 46 percent, to $7.13 billion. The firm also said its earnings increased 68 percent, to $299 million in the first quarter. Amazon also said in its release that it now has more than 500,000 books in its U.S. Kindle Store.
