Seattle-based Redfin said today that the firm has launched into a new market, Phoenix, and also made what it called a "major" upgrade to its listing service. In a related move, the firm said it has launched a major upgrade to its service, and is now offering in-home listing consultation, support of short sales, and is now hosting open houses and private tours. Redfin said the new services will be available to current clients at no cost; the firm said the service will cost 1.5 percent of the home price, replacing offerings which previously were fixed-priced at $5000 and $7000.
