PopCap To Pay Another $2.7M to MumboJumbo
Seattle-based PopCap Games was ordered to pay another $2.7M in its loss of a breach of contract lawsuit from casual gaming publisher MumboJumbo, MumboJumbo said Tuesday. According to MumboJumbo, the judge in the 193rd Civil District Court in Dallas ordered PopCap to pay $2.7M in attorneys' fees to the firm. The award is on top of $4.6M awarded by a jury earlier in the breach of contract case. MumboJumbo had sued PopCap over its decision to distribute its own games, despite a 2006 agreement covering North American distribution between the firms.
