Jive Software Buys Filtrbox

Portland-based Jive Software, a developer of social networking software for businesses, said this morning that it has acquired Filtrbox, a Colorado-based developer of real-time, information monitoring services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Filtrbox develops social media monitoring tools used by companies and brands to monitor what people are saying about their companies and products. Jive said it will use the buy to broaden the reach of its software, including integrating Filtrbox's technology into its Jive Market Engagement product. Filtrbox, which is based in Boulder, Colorado, was venture backed by Flywheel Ventures and True Ventures.
