Isilon Powers Avatar Movie

Seattle-based Isilon Systems said Friday that the firm's NAS hardware was used in the production of the James Cameron film Avatar, as part of the workflow of Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment production company. Isilon, which did not disclose financial details of the firm's work with Lightstorm, said its products were used as part of Lightstorm's virtual filming environment. The firm's Isilon IQ proudct was used to store 3D content from the movie's production pipeline.
