F5 Networks Installs With Northrop Grumman
Seattle-based F5 Networks, a developer of load balancing hardware, said today that the firm has delivered its products to Northrop Grumman Corporation as part of a lab targeted at the U.s. Army. The firm said its product will be part of the Army Knowledge Online/Defense Knowledge Online (AKO/DKO) Emerging Technologies Laboratory (ETL), a lab used for testing, rapid prototyping, and preliminary integration of products for the U.S. Department of Defense. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. F5 said its BIG-IP IP6 Gateway modules will be used to translate and load balance between IPv4 and IPV6 networks, as well as for caching of content and authentication.
