Microsoft Ties With OpenX In Advertising Deal
Microsoft is ramping its efforts to sign up customers of its Content Ads advertising product today, saying that it has partnered with ad serving firm OpenX. According to Microsoft and OpenX, they are in a deal where they will cross-market and promote products to their publishers. The companies said that customers of OpenX, who are using the OpenX Market or OpenX ad server, will be able to use Microsoft's Content Ads, and that Microsoft will also refer potential customers to OpenX. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Microsoft's Content Ads are a direct competitor to Google's AdSense product. The two have been in a trial together since August of 2008.
