TechStars Heads To Seattle
TechStars, the highly visible, business incubation effort out of Boulder, Colorado, is heading to Seattle, and is looking to pitch its companies to Seattle-based venture capitalists and angel investors. TechStars--which helps very early stage firms with seed investment, advice, and assistance--has been credited with creating a very vibrant start up environment in Boulder. The effort was co-founded by Brad Feld of The Foundry Group and David Cohen, among others, and recently expanded its incubation programs to Boston. The firm is running a reunion event in Seattle on November 4th, and as part of the event is highlighting its companies that are still raising money to Seattle investors, according to a number of investors involved in the event. According to a blog post from Madrona's Greg Gottesman, the event includes himself, Feld, Cohen, Andy Sack of Founders Co-Op, Steve Hall of Vulcan Capital, and Chris Sheehan of Boston's CommonAngels.
