Spoken, GotVoice Deal Worth $750K
The acquisition of Kirkland-based GotVoice by Seattle's Spoken was worth approximately $750,000 in stock, according to a regulatory filing from the firm earlier this week. According to the filing, Spoken issues $750,000 in its common stock to secured noteholders of GotVoice, in conjunction with the acquisition and dissolution of GotVoice. The deal was announced last Friday. GotVoice operated a voicemail transcription service, and was backed by around $3M in funding from Ignition Partners and Second Avenue. Ignition's Jonathan Roberts is now listed as a board member at Spoken.
