Twilio Opens International Calls To Developers
Twilio, the Seattle- and San Francisco-based firm which provides a cloud-based API for enabling telephony applications, told its users Thursday afternoon that it has opened up the ability to make outbound, international calls to all of its users. The feature had previously only been available to early access developers. The firm said the new service allows applications to make calls to hundreds of destinations worldwide. Twilio is funded by The Founders Fund and Mitch Kapor, and allows software developers to create telephone-enabled applications.
