Twilio Names First Netbook Winner
Seattle- and San Francisco-based Twilio has named its first winner of a free netbook, RepeaterStore, an e-commerce company which uses the firm's telephony API to handle customer service. According to Twilio, RepeaterStore is using the firm's API to allow its customers to call in to enter and receive information on their orders. The application was developed by Brendan Gill. Twilio said last week that it would give away a netbook a week until the end of July to encourage creative applications with the firm's services. Twilio is venture backed by the Founder's Fund and Mitch Kapor.
