Amazon Launches Another Vertical, Focused On Outdoors
Seattle-based Amazon.com announced today that it has launched another, vertically focused store, this time focused on outdoors recreation. Amazon said its new Outdoor Recreation Store--which exists as a micro-site off of Amazon's main pages--will offer outdoor gear and apparel. As part of a promo for the new site, the firm said it will give away a free National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass to customers who purchase $299 or more on merchandise from the new site. The new site sells clothing, footwear, camping and backpacking gear, and other outdoors equipment.
