Wetpaint Ranks TV Shows
Seattle-based Wetpaint announced this morning that the firm has released a new tool which helps measure "online engagement" of users of popular TV programs. According to Wetpaint, it is using online sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Wetpaint fansites to generate an algorithmic ranking of TV shows. The firm claimed that the new tool goes beyong just measuring size of viewing audience, and will measure both the online footprint of popular shows, as well as the online buzz of emerging TV shows. The firm said its ranking will be updated weekly. Wetpaint is a developer of software which allows brands and fans to create their own online communities.
