MDRNA Shrinks Board

Bothell, Washington-based MDRNA reported Thursday that it has cut its board size to five people, as part of a cost containment effort. The firm said Dr. Steven Quay, Dr. Alex Cross, and Mr. Jack Pollack have all resigned from the firm. The firm said that it felt the "current business climate, global economic situation" and its new pre-clinical development focus drove the move. The firm sold its contract manufacturing facilities in April in a related move, as it said it would focus on development of novel siRNA therapeutics.
