Micro Power Appoints Board Member

Beaverton, Oregon-based Micro Power Electronics, a manufacturer of custom battery systems, reported Wednesday that it has named Paul Ross to its board of directors. The firm said Ross is the former president of defense contractor ATK (formerly Alliant Techsystems). Ross oversaw the acquisition of aerospace manufacturer Thiokol while he was ATK. Before that, Micro Power said, he held various senior management positions with Rockwell International. Ross joins existing Micro Power board members James B. McElwee, John A. Berg and Greg T. Love, the company's president and chief executive officer.
