Mentor Graphics Names HR VP

Wilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics has bolstered its executive staff with a new hire, the firm disclosed Wednesday. Mentor said it has hired Alan Friedman as Vice President of Human Resources, heading up the firm's organizational planning and development, employment, compensation, benefits, safety and health, and employee services. Friedman joins from Novell, and has also worked for Cambridge Technology Partners, Arthur D. Little, Wang Laboratories and Superscope/Marantz/Philips.
