Amazon Links Payments Product With E-Commerce Software
Seattle-based Amazon Payments, the electronic payment service operations by Amazon.com, announced Thursday that it has linked its service with a number of shopping cart and e-commerce software providers. According to Amazon, it now has over 25 providers of shopping card and merchandising--including such firms as Miva Mergent, ShopVisible, Zoovy, CardinalCommerce, Magento, and Mercantec--integrated with its payment platform. Amazon's payment service taps into Amazon's own ecommerce back end, allowing users to use their Amazon.com accounts for paying for products and services. The offering also allows merchants to handle both payment and tracking of orders.
