Itron Merges Brands With Actaris

Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron, a maker of smart electricity, gas, and water meters, said Thursday that it has merged its branding with subsidiary Actaris. The firm, which acquired Actaris two years ago, said the firm will now operated under the Itron brand. Itron has been running Actaris under its prior name outside North America for the last two years. Itron's "smart" meters include RF wireless network communications features, solid-state measurement, along with automated reader reading, data management, and related software options.
