Itron Promotes Pair to Operations Chiefs
Itron Inc., a provider of meters and other data collection and communications equipment and software for the energy and water industries, reported Tuesday that it has promoted two of its senior-level executives. Specifically, Itron said it elevated Malcolm Unsworth to president and chief operating officer. In this role, Unsworth will report directly to LeRoy Nosbaum, chairman and chief executive officer, and he will oversee the Liberty Lake, Wash.-based company’s two operating segments, Itron North America and Actaris. Unsworth joined Itron in July 2004. Most recently, he was senior vice president and COO of the Actaris business unit. Itron said Marcel Regnier will replace Unsworth. Regnier had been managing director of Actaris' water and heat business unit for the past seven years—prior to Itron's April 2007 acquisition of Actaris.
