Bezos' Backed ChaCha Gains $12M
Indianapolis-based ChaCha, which operates a SMS search service which provides human answers via cell phone, said Wednesday that the firm has raised $12M in funding. The firm did not disclose who funded this round, however, the firm's lead investor on both of its prior funding rounds has been Bezos Expeditions, the personal investment arm of Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos. ChaCha said the funding will go to expand its local and national advertising sales. ChaCha also said it is reducing its headcount and overhead in conjunction with the funding. More information »
