Cardiac Sciences Cuts Staff
Bothell, Washington-based Cardiac Science, a developer of defibrillators, electrocardigraph devices, and other medical equipment, said late Wednesday that it is cutting approximately 12% of its current staff, and reducing other expenses. The firm said the move was a result of the firm anticipating slower demand due to a weakening world economy. The firm said it will reorganize its marketing and product development functions as part of the move. Cardiac Sciences manufactures automated external difibrillators, cardiac stress systems, treadmills, and other related products.
