Stikkit, Iwantsandy to Cease Services by Dec. 19
Values of n, the Portland, Ore.-based startup behind Stikkit.com and Iwantsandy.com, will suspend operations for both services on Dec. 19. The news follows last month's announcement that Twitter, the popular San Francisco-based instant-messaging firm, had acquired values of n and added the startup's founder and chief executive, Rael Dornfest, to its engineering team. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Stikkit is an online personal contacts and calendaring service, and Iwantsandy is a virtual personal assistant. Values of n originally reported that both sites would be shut down by end-of-business Monday. According to Dornfest, the deadline was extended to Dec. 19 to give users time to save data and locate alternatives.
