Amazon's IMDB Launches German Language Version

Seattle-based IMDb.com Inc. reported Thursday that it has launched a German-language version of its popular online movie and television database. IMDb said it created the Web site, www.imdb.de, to help German-speaking film and television buffs more easily locate information for their favorite movies, TV shows and actors. Just as with IMDb's English-language original, the company noted, the new site will offer details and facts for more than 1.3 million titles and some 2.7 million celebrities. The Internet Movie Database is a wholly owned subsidiary of Internet retailer Amazon.com Inc.
