RadioFrame Secures $28M in Series F Financing
RadioFrame Networks Inc. announced Wednesday that it has raised $28M in a sixth round of equity and debt financing. The Redmond, Wash.-based company, which provides picocell radio access devices for mobile phone operators and their OEM partners, said first-time investor Plainfield Asset Management and existing investors Ericsson Venture, Ignition Partners and VantagePoint Venture Partners led the Series F effort. COM Investments, Samsung and Innovacom (formerly Orange Ventures) also participated, RadioFrame said, adding that it will use the money to fund ongoing operations and to develop additional radio access solutions for the femtocell and picocell market. RadioFrame's hardware is used for providing cell phone access in limited access areas such as buildings and homes. The round brings RadioFrame's total raise to over $100M in equity and debt.
